Ceramic Art

Ceramic art vividly being known as pottery is one of the finest and oldest forms of art existing in today's world. One could literally define ceramic art as art made from ceramic material like clay etc. It comes in distinct forms varying from artistic pottery, tableware, tiles, figurines, and other sculpture. As one of the plastic arts, ceramic art is often considered the visual arts whereas Pottery and sculpture are defined as decorative art forms and are categorized as industrial and treated as applied art objects. Ceramic art is almost developed in all cultures, and often objects are all the artistic evidence left from vanished cultures, like that of the Nok in Africa over 2,000 years ago. Ceramic art played an evident role in the culture of countries like China, Crete, Greece, Persia, Mayan, Japan, and Korea, as well as the modern Western cultures.
