Kimchi fried rice

Kimchi fried rice is one of the famous foods in Korea, also known as kimchi-bokkeum-bap which is primarily made with kimchi and rice with other additional ingredients such as vegetables, meat , pork. Instead of meat mushroom can also be used as a replacement as per preference. After the cooked dish is put on a plate or in a bowl, a fried egg is sometimes served on top. Thinly shredded gim, chopped scallions or sesame are spread over it to enhance the flavor and to garnish. This rice recipe is flavourful and has a tang from the kimchi. It has a slightly sweet and sour flavour and is very garlicky. Since kimchi fried rice is cheap and can be made quickly it is preferred by students who live alone and cannot afford expensive meals, it is also preferred by some of the most famous kpop bands such as BTS. Kimchi fried rice is also a popular item for lunch, as it is hot and spicy and can be served with danmuji and can be paired with any kind of soup.The lacto-fermentation process that kimchi undergoes makes it particularly unique. Fermented foods not only have an extended shelf life but also an enhanced taste and aroma.
