Music - The Healing Art

Are you feeling low or sad for no reason sometimes? And trying to do something that can change your mood or give your soul a feeling of relief? Then try this "The Music therapy". Art music is used by therapists in music therapy to change your mood. Music therapy is an evidence-based practice that harnesses the power of music to improve the quality of life in people dealing with illness. A series of letters, published in The Lancet, in 1891, discussed the approach of a group of musicians providing live music to patients in London hospitals. From that point, music therapy established itself as a recognized health profession in the clinical context. Research findings have supported a wide range of music therapy benefits from changing brain waves to lowering heart rate and blood pressure. In a study of patients who underwent surgery for lung cancer, the patients who received music therapy before and after surgery, reported less pain and had lower blood pressure, heart rate, and anxiety. And today where we are surrounded with negative vibes one must try music therapy. It is not necessary that in the beginning, you have to consult with a therapist, you simply make a playlist of the music which you like and start enjoying them it will definitely boost your mood and if you find it useful and want to explore more then you can consult with a therapist.
